This introductory class is dedicated to all like-minded individuals, who are interested in pursuing a course in martial theory, self defense, and functional fitness. We teach Jeet Kune Do (JKD) which includes Boxing and weapons in a very relaxed and safe manner. We don’t follow any strange rituals and we teach the classes in a non-formal style. Our main goal is to make it fun.

Our Program

This self defense program is an exciting, explosive, and energizing mix of martial arts and fitness training. Whether your goal is to lose body fat, gain flexibility, tone your muscles, or just learn self defense, This class is the answer! Our training incorporates kicks, punches, elbows and knees as well as extensive physical conditioning to build endurance, strength, and speed making it an incredible energizing work-out. Easy to learn and fun, this dynamic group class for adults is growing in popularity.

Light Warm Up

Our classes start with a light mobility warm-up to increase circulation, warm up the muscles for activity and work our range of motion.

Interval Stations

After the warm-up we do a some interval stations with equipment such as heavy bag, speed bag, wooden dummy, Agility Ladder, and weight training exersices!


After the interval stations we do the main section of the class which is instruction and practice. We do various drills for skills. Some techniques you will learn fairly quickly for self-preservation and others will take longer for self-perfection.


After our istruction and practice portion of the class we finish off with stretching for improving our Flexibility. specific stretches are used to assist with our martial arts training, correct posture, and be more resilient to injures. People often comment on how great they feel after a class!


Our adult classes 100% FREE! That's right, people can apply for membership at our small private club and get unlimited martial arts and fitness class's in our amazing gym for FREE! All you pay for is supplies which are a monthly membership at the “Jeet Kune Do Boot Camp - Online Education Centre” which is our video “textbook” for much of what we do here. Other than that you just supply your own training gear that you bring to class in your gym bag. Also, another thing.. no huge commitment right away. You can try it out and to see how much you enjoy it first!

Gavin's Biography

As a teenager, I briefly trained in Tae Kwon Do, Kempo Karate, Aikido, and Arnis before discovering Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and Bruce Lees’ Jeet Kune Do (JKD). Sifu Trevor Clarkson, at Creative Fighters Guild, was my first JKD instructor. We trained in a variety of martial arts such as JKD, BJJ and FMA.
During my time training with Trevor, I was promoted to advanced classes. When the time came for my instructor to move away, I began teaching JKD, BJJ and FMA and operated clubs in the South Okanagan including the Okanagan Martial Arts Academy.

All my training and experiences have led me to develop the "Jeet Kune Do Boot Camp". It is a quality self-defense Martial Arts training program with functional fitness and flexibility training. Not only does the training teach scientific street fighting, but it uses cardio interval stations, corrective exercises, and stretches that are useful with weight loss, and injury recovery & prevention.

I am constantly continuing my training in Martial Arts. In Jeet Kune Do we are always a student and learning never ends.
